Some excellent choices, but I'm going to go with I Wanna Be a Cowboy by Boys Don't Cry. How that song ever got popular is just a testement to the power of the 80s.

"The Macarena" or however you spell it. What a piece of trash song, I have no idea how that thing caught on unless it was one of those cases where something was so bad, people actually thought it was good.
