Without the federal tax money that the liberal Blue States pay, in excess of what they receive back, the Red States would be in big economic trouble and the federal government would cease to function. The conservative Red States, in general, are leeching off of the liberal states in order to support themselves and to pay for their unnecessary war, faith-based initiatives and time-wasting obstructionist activities in Congress, etc.
It is time for the conservative Red States to start paying higher taxes, receive less money from the liberal states through the federal government and to start carrying their own weight. If they want to be warmongers and oppose social programs then they must start paying their fair share for what they believe and learn how to support themselves.

Not sure what you mean. Taxes across the board are pretty much the same Liberal vs. Conservative. States have their own budgets and revenue. If you are talking about things like county payments and earmarks, those go to both conservative and liberal states pretty much equally.
Conservatives usually oppose large social programs that give out funds or services, and liberals usually support those. Right or wrong I don't see what you are talking about. If you are talking about the federal budget the Democrat Congress is deficit spending as The Republicans were.
Also the facts just don't support that liberal states have driven the economy. Texas is the 11th largest economy in the world and it isn't liberal. There is just no basis for your claims.
I don't understand the get a job thing. as I said conservatives are usually arguing for getting a job. That we shouldn't redistribute wealth and that the only way to success is through hard work.
I really think you need to study some economics and statistics, and ideologies. I guess you haven't gotten up to sophomore civics yet.

HUH? Are you saying that these conservatives are so rich that they don't have to really work for a living? Or have you gotten Conservatives and Liberals mixed up?

It is ironic that so many of those welfare conservatives always vote for those politicians most likely to cut off their incomes. Give Republicans enough power, and the welfare conservatives would have to go out and work for a living.
Get a job you bums!!!

I am Conservative, and I am all for a return to states being the major power holders. If you want to lobby for a vast reduction in the reach of the federal government, you will have 100% of my support.
But I thought liberals wanted a strong federal government, so your position is a bit confusing to me. You can't have your cake and eat it too.

I suppose they're going to pay, singlehandly for the war. Where's that money gonna come from?
I've noticed the question of 'where" the money for the war is coming from, seems to be a non-issue to the conservatives.

What an idiotic question! Please explain how "liberal" states are paying for "conservative" states. And by the way, Sparky, the vast majority of conservatives DO get up and go to work each day. This is a proven fact. Go to any welfare office and poll the people in line and you'll find that the vast majority of them are LIBERAL and vote almost exclusively DEMOCRAT!

I would think that a better question would be....
Why should Conservative states be made to pay for the socialist programs for/from the blue states...Or any state, for that matter.

Blue states also have budget shortfalls in their state budgets. I think you're reading from the wrong talking points.

I agree.
I think anyone who wants to perpetuate the expensive occupation of Iraq and Afghanistan should pay more taxes; those opposed should pay less taxes.
