It's because thinking is a little to much work. Global warming must not be true because I don't get it. Evolution must not be true because I don't get it. There are a lot of liberals in this country, it must be because of the news.
When talking to a conservative always expect the most simple watered down answer they can come up with that usually includes calling you a pinko, communist, terrorist, idiot, baby murdering hypocrite.
On a rare occasion you'll find a conservative with a little substance. Those are the fun people to talk to. (you could make this same argument about quite a few liberals as well. Maybe it's just the human condition...)

You give zero examples to support your argument. That said, you have it all wrong. Conservatives are not concerned with whatever "bias" a government agency/ institution has, but only if it is Constitutional. If you read the Constitution you will see that our nation is no longer a Constitutional Republic, and if you believe in freedom and the rule of law, that is bad. If the Constitution doesn't grant the government a certain power, they do not have the authority to take that power. If they do it anyway it is called a dictatorship because they dictate what the law is. By way of example, nowhere in the Constitution does it say the government has the authority to force me to buy insurance or any other product or service. Therefore, the healthcare bill is unconstitutional. The bailouts were unconstitutional, too. Both of these things are causing a deepening of the economic turmoil. That is why a small government is better, people do best when left alone and history shows that almost all of humanities problems can be traced to governments. That is why "We The People," and not the government, are supposed to have power.

You are sooooo right and it is soooooo bad that I have told friends of stories in the NYT or MSNBC or wherever that were attacked immediately as liberally biased. Then I swooped in for the kill by noting that the source for the story was a White House official. Yet, they still proclaim it was biased, the official was misquoted, etc.
It's truly crazy how they think. It's irrational defensiveness that I can't recall ever seeing any other time in history except the inquisition.

There is a liberal bias in the news and in America's universities. It is one of the main causes of political upheaval in America. Without the constant support of news people, celebrities and university indoctrination, liberalism would no longer be synonymous with socialism but would be the valid movement it once was.
The American public may ignore it at their own peril. I will never cease to point it out.

No, I'm afraid not. You see, there is only one true religion, one path to heaven and it's through fundamentalist or evangelical Christianity. Republican "strategists" have transferred that paradigm to politics. Hillary Clinton has been called Satan, Bush has been chosen by God, 9-11 was a collective punishment for our liberal immorality. Republican faithful may have an inkling that some manipulation and deception is going on, but they ignore their instincts and blame it all on the Democrats.

Let's face it. The staunch conservatives won't admit to anything. It's ALWAYS someone elses fault.

No, it doesn't surprise me at all. After all, the term is used as a pejorative to fuel strawman agruments.
