Use this equation for centripetal acceleration:

a = ω²r

"ω" is the angular velocity (8 rps), and "r" is the radius of the circle (0.6 m).

This formula only works if the angle units are in radians. One revolution is the same as 2π radians. So you have to do this conversion to make the numbers come out right:

ω = 8 rps = 8 revs/sec = 8(2π rads)/sec
