They may wear cowboy hats or work on a ranch. They may live in a trailer park or out in the country. Regardless, they are stereotyped.

I believe that because of this, these people who engage in this kind of behavior are cut from precisely the same cloth as racists and bigots.

What say you?

Steve C - Show me ONE, just one (1) question of mine that is racist. If you try to use my concern and research into the reality of the threat of radical Islam then... well, lets just leave it at that.

alphabetsoup2 - A quintessential example. You have been called out for what you are.

Given2Fly - Of course, I agree with you here. It runs on both sides and this needs to be highlighted and addressed.

I don’t watch NASCAR BTW. I prefer the X-Games, Gravity Games and MMA.

I agree. I am classically liberal and happen to watch NASCAR as well, so the boot doesn't fit.

But keep in mind there are a few conservatives that stereotype liberals the same way - pot smoking, hippie tree huggers... or as communists. It is assumed we all agree with Michael Moore or MoveOn.org as well.

I'm an attorney, and I watch NASCAR, actually I watch alot of sports. I don't live in a trailer park, and I actually worked on a farm when I was in high school. I'm certainly not a "redneck", but I'm from a rural area, and I have an accent that some find hard to understand. : )

I completly agree w/ you....I watch Nascar, but that does not make me an ignorant Redneck...I live in the country and rather enjoy it very much- my dogs run free, my kitties run free, can go fishing in the pond right out the back door, I can go run to my car in my pjs and no one will see me....etc...Yet, I am not an ignorant redneck....I HATE when they sterotype me that way b/c I am a republican and live in a semi rural area! They are the ones who should think twice before speaking....

Thanks for the question!

I thought that link was pretty funny. 4 stars!

I could see NASCAR fans booing the Noble Prize committee, sure that could easily happen under the right conditions (misinformation, etc). It wouldn't take much for this to happen.

We cannot forget the controlled atmosphere that some libs lope about in.

Their sanctimony keeps at bay the inclement fronts of reality.

Who knows... but I do know this... the fastest way to piss off most NASCAR fans is to tell them they look like a Jeff Gordon fan :P

They probably just hate the event because a prayer is said before each race.

I love the smell of napalm in the morning, Nascar, troops that invade small nations and whip their butts in a week and kill 100,000 civilians, shooting my gun, BANG, my case of bud, and my dog, fred, burp, a conservative here!
