Nobel Prices are exactly like Academy Awards. The only thing missing is the red carpet with the celebrities being photographed on it.

And: Now U.S.A. may go on polluting the planet using him as an alibi....

Actually, i like your mis-spelling.

And I'm serious when I say this although it doesn't hit your question with complete precision the way you meant to ask it - as I'd gather it.

Because I would actually like to say that Al is not noble.
Yes, the word nobel does hit me that way too.

So, deserve peace prize? Honestly?
I will only go so far as to crack my voice Up a note and say "Eh.." maybe. That's as far as I will go this decade, just a maybe.

I suppose you could say his work gives some common ground for attention, and that in it's way promotes peace.
But I don't know. Not really, for now.
-Offers
something up to take center stage people-round-the-world / proccupation with something other than an ability to be kicking someone in the groin or scratching their eyes out.
But not quite.
No one else near the top of the list deserve it?
A Pasteur, maybe, for discovering the germ?

Seems to me that destroying our environment's ability to sustain us, would create human peace too.
Cemeterys are very peaceful. (Yes, I'm still trying to be serious here.)
I'd consider tossing the prize to someone who carves tombstones for a living, at least one of the nobel years.

I did vote for Al Gore by the way. I winced a bit before I did it. But I meant it when I voted for him.
Listening to the g] -ore t] -alk in that lockbox voice is probably better from now on under the title of nobEl rather than "prez".

He merits it extra suitable than Bush does, yet no... no one merits the presidency via default, in basic terms for being there. truthfully, i might % to work out super Al run in 2008, with the aid of fact if he gained, purely think of approximately what he might do with a democratic controlled congress!!! He'd institute various the biggest, maximum sweeping alterations this u . s . a . might have ever considered, and he might make confident we've been given back on the superb music the two environmentally and technologically. substitute takes guts, and he's shown he has the midsection to stand accessible and insist it, particularly than loosening the belt for super companies and permitting them to positioned on some pounds on the rate of the planet. to those that criticize him for flying a private jet particularly than taking a seat in firstclass on a advertisement airliner... he's a former vice chairman. He will possibly no longer have plenty selection approximately this. As for his motor vehicle, I wager you cash for donuts that he exhibits up in a minimum of a hybrid, and in all probability something much extra reducing facet than that.

I think that if you repeat a lie often enough, people believe it's the truth. I don't believe that Al Gore is telling the truth, but when city employees are required by their job to go and see his film, a lot of people are going to believe it.
It is reminiscent to me of the type of thing that was done in pre WW2 Germany. First, you have to scare people to death, then you can get them to do anything you want, without too much protest.
No Al Gore doesn't deserve the Nobel Peace Prize, scare tactics and blame used to manipulate people with half truths and implication does not promote peace, and carbon offsets do not negate the effects(on air pollution) of SUV's and a lavish lifestyle. If in fact he actually believes all his assertions, then he should be willing to lead by example, and adjust his lifestyle accordingly.

no no because as a good teacher I am curious and i look in dictionary to see what this all gore is and see gore means much blood and i say it is very bad if all gore which is all blood can win some prize. Maybe there has been a mistake and they mean something else. All blood is no good.

Sure, if you want to give the Nobel Peace Prize to someone who made a movie that has been proven in a court of law to contain lies and require a disclaimer to be shown in classrooms.

Are you aware that Al Gore claims that his movie contained thousands of facts? Are you also aware that for a 90 minute movie to contain "thousands" of facts, it would need to spit out a new fact every 3 seconds over the entire course of the movie?

Think about it.

Of course he does. That decision was not made lightly. It was made by world experts. Are we not proud when the US wins a gold metal. Do we look if the athlete is a democrat or republican before we decide if we should be proud or not. Of course not! We should all be proud that Mr Gore did such a great achievement!

P.S. If you believe the noble prize to be hypocritical, that is your right, and then the prize should have no meaning to you and thus a non-issue. For though who doubt his facts back up your words with data or state what science degree you have.

Having failed as a politician his managers invented another way to keep him in the center of publicity: His "fight" for environment. And while hundrends of serious environmental organisations give a continuous fight, and never have been even nominated, he was awarded for having written a book and given some well paid lectures about environment.
Nobel prices are just a fake celebration for predecided awards granted for political reasons.

Noble what? He deserves a NOBEL Prize because the Nobel committee thinks so. That is really all that matters. It doesn't matter what you think nor what I think.

No, he didn't do anything for peace in my opinion. Just look at all the anger and controversy it's caused here!
