I have the same problem--I want anything I see on TV. I found that if I have similar but easy stuff in the fridge or freezer, I can do ok. When I see pizza, I have Hot Pockets with the pizza flavors, or stuff to make a quick grilled cheese, etc. I also found that if I go to the grocery store a little hungry and buy quick-fix foods in single servings (I buy enough that I could share, but in packaging that I could just eat it whenever) I do better. That way, when I am hungry, I'm not looking in the fridge going, "well, I could fix..." It's already fixed and all I have to do is heat it up. I know this isn't the healthiest of all solutions, but at least I'm eating now!

Eat before you are actually hungry. I've had the same problem and that's what I had to do. I didn't eat because I wanted to but because I needed to. If I waited too long to eat, I couldn't even make myself eat. The good news is when you feel this way, you don't overeat and end up gaining too much weight. You just have to make sure that you do eat and nutritiously. Good Luck.

Ginger biscuits. Nibble them little and often. An empty stomach can make the feeling of sickness feel worse, as can dehydration. Make sure you are hydrated. If you are finding water difficult to drink, eat ice lollies.
Try also easy to eat foods like jacket potatoes, chicken and rice or toast.
If you're not eating that well, you should try and take a good antenatal multivitamin so that you are not lacking in nutrients.
Also, see your midwife, you might be feeling rough because you're anaemic, for example, or you may have a bit of indigestion, for which gaviscon might help.
By the way, the baby will take what he/she needs, it will be your body that goes without (which it can recover from). Have what you fancy to a degree (bearing in mind the usual precautions about undercooked food etc).

Try to drink some lemonade or lemon water when you feel hungry even if your prone to heartburn like me. You have no idea how fast it works at taking the queasiness out of your belly and out of your head! Withinan hour or so after drinking it I can eat whatever I want. So in a normal day, I eat at least 1 lemon, drink at least 3 glasses of lemonade or cut up lemon in water, and eat about 8-10 rolaids! LMAO
Whatever you do, good luck with it and remember your baby needs nutrition whether you feel like eating or not! Take Care!!

It was the same way for my pregnancies. My midwife was good with natural or homeopathic ways. She had this to offer, although it wasn't much of a homeopathic:
Sip lemonade slowly and eat regular potato chips.
This saved me during nausea. There were times when all I could stomach was the chips and lemonade.
It's worth a try...
One thing to consider, though, is if you have a limitation on salt or sugar. (Salty chips, sugary lemonade) Even at that, it may be okay with your doctor in moderation.
Hope this helps the TWO of you. :)

I feel exactly the same way. I'm constantly hungry but when I do eat, there's this funny taste that I get. I guess its the morning sickness and one can just hope that it will soon go away, and you can enjoy eating and enjoying your food.

Eat crackers and drink juices if you have them. Bland foods are good for your stomach to help ease that nauseous feeling, and the juice will flavor it up enough to not feel like you are getting a no taste having mini meal...it worked for me at least.

Even though the thought of food makes you sick, you still need to try and eat. I am in my 2nd trimester, too, and a lot of times I get nauseous just thinking about eating - but once I eat, I feel better. You need to keep something in your stomach. Just try to eat little snacks every few hours. Try apples - they worked great for me in my first pregnancy! Also - crackers, toast, anything that isn't too filling, sweet, or rich. Good luck!

Well you have to eat even if it does not appeal to you!!! You dont want to lose too much weight and the baby need nutrition. Try eating things like grill cheese, soup, or bland foods. Your appetite will pick up soon and you will not be able to stop eating!!
