Exorcism of Emily Rose WTF? I couldnt sleep with the lights of for 2 wks. I am not mentally prepared for scary movies even though I though the Grudge was funny!

Absolutely The Exorcist, hands down. It came out in the 1970s, so the special effects aren't really that great by today's standards, but that's part of what makes it so cool. It's the kind of scary movie that messes with your mind, rather than just showing you a bunch of special effects. Those subliminal momentary shots of "Captain Howdy" just kind of randomly popping up throughout the movie, and the way Linda Blair's head spins around and whatnot, oooh, I get chills just thinking about it. If you haven't seen the original Exorcist yet, go rent it!

When I was 10, my Dad took me to see "Frankenstein and the Monster from Hell" starring Peter Cushing as Baron Frankenstein and David Prowse (the guy inside the Darth Vader outfit) as the monster.
It was unrated, and scared the hell out of me.
Probably not that scary by today's standards, but pretty creepy!
