Are`nt you feeling shame that you are asking this type of question.Players like Jayasuriya and Brian Lara are playing till their 40s and you want our players to retire in 35s itself.

The one test India won was when Sachin and Ganguly gave a good start. ODIs are 50 overs games and requires more experience, skills and mental toughness and physical agility. Don't rule out Dravid so easily. Presently he is passing through some anxieties. Further Australians are no bunch of novices .They are veterans in these longer versions.

Sachin , Sourav and Dravid are not retiring because these players are one of the experienced players that Indian Team ever had . As everyone one of us want to have a good ending so according to me they all are waiting for a moment where they can hit the ground and the wicket and could be proud enough to exclaim their thoughts .

It is not so easy to replace Sachin, Saurav and Ganguly with youngsters especially against strong Australian. What nis required against Australia is experience as well as young talent. First of all youngsters should be groomed and if they arte exposed to strong team like Australia all of a sudden, it will not be in the good interest.

Don't u think u r asking this question too early. 20 - 20 world cup is not everything. There r ODIs and Test Matches also, where India needs their Experienced players.
They will retire when the time comes.........but this is not the right time.

well dude u r one of those people who just want instant gratification.
u r talking about 5th odi, well i may ask u who was the top scorer of indian innings, it was a youngster by the name of sachin ramesh tendulkar. & ur t20 world cup winnin heroes, dhoni, yuvraj, utthappa together didnt score half of runs as scored by sachin alone.
in last one year sachin has consistently been top scoring & has the best average amongst the current lot of players , only indian to cross 1000 runs in calender year 2007. & u want him to retire. well can u suggest a name which can take his place....................as far as i can see................none.................none...................none.........................none.
similar things can be said of saurav & rahul
they will soon retire & they know that ,thats why they didnt go to t20 world cup, & are have opted out of challenger series.
youngsters are being given a chance to get a look & get the feel of the top most level.
that is why dhoni has become captain, sachin could have easily been the captain of the india team if he wanted for the present seires , that would have earned him a lot more money as many people aboce me have suggested.
so i would just say, these players are going but we dont still have anyone to replace them, even if we get anyone half as talented as these , they will happily retire & in peace, that i can assure you.

though young players have done good in 20-20 but we can't expect same from them in one day game.the last performances can reval the fact that senior players have done better.in england sachin batted brilliantly despite of many wrong decisions taken against him.it is hard work and consistency for yrs of senior players which is compelling us to discuss .ganguly was replaced by a new player what happened he was again selected $ he proved his superority .they might not be in their best form but are still better than the new comers.
i am not against the new comers.i want to say just to use the potential of history maker players to train new comers.

hey dude...dese players are da best for test cricket..no one can deny dis fact..n dey hve already opted out from playin t20..now in da case of odis..if u see half da australian squad is over 35 but stll dey r playin..i see no problem in sachin tendulkar playing because he fields, bats well and can also bowl...and ganguly is also in gud nick..dese two openers are giving india a gud start..and mind you sachin is just 34...ganguly has nearly 1 year of crcket left in him and sachin 3 to 4 years...and rahul dravid..he's a great batsman..and has a great technique but it is his inabilty to accelerate the run rate which is going against him...so i think he should retire from one days and play test cricket...n den ganguly shuld leave da odi game and then ts upto da master blaster to decide wen to leave..if dese 3 players leave at da same time..den u would b seeing india in a great sort of distress...and t20 is different form of cricket...and tho tendulkar fitted into it he opted out...he has a strike rate of 86..which is gud enough..so dese stars know wen 2 quit da international stage n in da ind vs aus 5th odi sachin top sccored wid 47 well above his career average of 44..so v can't ask him 2 retire..it was for da other batsman 2 stay at da crease and give him company which dey failed and it shows dere inability to perform against great teams like austrlia and south africa...
