You could take the question away ("why?") and rephrase it this way to see if it makes more sense to you: I did get married. "Get married" is the function that occurred in the past, so to say "Get marry" would be incorrect, as marry indicates something present... unless you use it without "get" in front of it, then it's a whole different use!

English is just trippy sometimes! :) Hope this didn't confuse you even more! Good luck.

The grammar is fine; 'did' implies that were are talking about past tense. The marraige already occurred, so 'married' is correct.

I cannot tell what your dilemma was when you popped the question. I see nothing wrong here. The only other way to express it would be "Why did I marry?" With the "get" "married" is correct.

Tyler Perry has a gift and has fulfilled many hopeless and lost people. His plays, movies and sitcoms speak to Christians and those looking to be inspired. I just saw the movie today and it was great.
You should go see it too.

just another ploy for the movie producers to fill the young minds with mush that they pass or try to pass off as everyday happenings.
