Go figure, these are the same ones who get automatic pay raises each year unless they vote against them. We have trouble with our elected officals and should consider voting all new people in and get rid of everyone to include Old Ted Kennedy.
These people are ripping the working people off so, lets fire them and let them hear our voice!!!

Good! English is a pastiche. There is no need for an official language. The point of language is to make communication easier, and clearer -- the use of variations for different purposes and circumstances is reasonable and necessary.
For the most part, whenever I hear some ignorant, xenophobic redneck say something like "This here Anglish oughta be th' ofeeshul language, and them thar ferriner's shouldn't ought ain't got no druther neverminds, you-uns" the first thing I want to know is the are YOU going to learn English?

What does a vote matter? English already is the official language, anyone who wants to be successful in this country will have a difficult time not knowing it. And without a vote it is becoming the new global language, as children in many other countries are being required to learn it too. My question is why are they wasting time and energy on bill like this when there are so many other important issues?
