Firstly the module system isn't used here and without knowing what the educational requirements are in Nigeria it is impossible to tell what the differences are between what is required there vs here and that is likely the key reason it is not recognized here. Conversely a degree attained in the U.S. would likely not be recognized in other countries because of the same reasons, because they don't know what courses were taken what information was included in the various courses and because it is likely that the courses required in another country for a specific degree here are not what they require.

Nope never heard of one. I'm in the US. There are Master's degrees in animal behavior but not dog training specifically. I train my own dogs and teach traoning classes to 4H kids and adults. I invite people to sit in my classes for free so that they can see the methods that I use. I figure the owner should have an idea as to how they want to train their dogs. I don't train other people's dogs. I train owners. Nope. I'm a balanced trainer. I don't stick to one method. At one time I trained purely compulsive because that was the way things were done in those days. As I "grew" in my training experience, I became more balanced.

Firstly the West African Certificate isn't up to western standard in Europe or other western countries. Nigerians living here in Ireland who have degrees from Nigeria theses degrees are not recognized here. The West African certificate wouldn't even reach the GCSE standards in the UK. There been cases here in Ireland of Nigerians been caught with so-called bogus degrees. In fact one was sent to prison when he was caught with a fake degree from the USA University. They can only themselves the blame for this. Sadly Nigeria has a worldwide bad reputation for scams, fake documents etc. I have heard people joke here that Nigeria should be renamed Scamland lol

P.S Your friend has a master degree. I wonder who printed it out for him/her lol

The problem is 99.99% of anything coming from Nigeria is a scam.
The country is (seen to be) riddled with corruption and all we hear of it here in the UK is phone, email or internet scams.

And that's basically your problem, there is no trust or weight to anything coming from this country.
To a large extent they have shot themsleves in the foot because this reputation will be there for many, many years, it will destroy any credibility they have with business, manufacturing, etc.

I would try to work on any possible qualifications you can get while your here, anything extra to back-up your degree, the more the better but i still feel it's going to be an uphill struggle.

It,s because they also sell printing machines in Nigeria. The scams coming out of Nigeria have made it impossible to trust anything from there.A sad ,but true, fact.

Nigeria is basically the scam capital of the world. I wouldn't trust any document from that nation.

Probably because there are so many dodgy scams coming from there, hardly anyone trusts them

Unfortunately we cannot trust anything from Nigeria. It may be wrong but the Nigerians have brought it on them selves.
