why not? if you're not using it, save energy or just let the computer do it for you using the power saving options in the control panel.

You can do whatever you want. Why are you bothering to come online to ask this? If you want to shut it off, do it. If you had common sense, you'd realize you're wasting power leaving anything on that you're not using. Then again, common sense is what I'm here for.
