If Lampard starts the game tomorrow in place of Barry then the rest of the England squad and fringe players might as well either;

A) Swap allegiances to another country.
B) Retire from International football.

There would be absolutely no justification for Barry being dropped for the game tomorrow for after spending many years waiting for a couple of appearances for England in succession he has proved that he is definitely a player who adds to the team's performance.

I think Lampard is the better player, however I think England would still win if they rested some of their players to avoid suspension, so I would start with Barry cause 2 great performances should be rewarded

If alongside Gerrard, then that's an easy question. Gerrard and Lampard in the same midfiled has been tried. Repeatedly. For THREE YEARS.

How many times has it worked? NONE.

Play Lampard ONLY IF you are not going to play Gerrard.

Lampard is not fat. He's not over-rated. He's a great player, but Gerrard does not bring the best out in him, nor he bring the best out in Gerrard.

The time to abandon the Lamps/Gerrard pairing has long since passed.
