Learning, listening, and understanding. When you can put all your feelings aside and listen to everything then you have the right to draw a conclusion on whats going on. I believe that we had the right idea in going over there and i believe that in war things happen that you dont want and that you cant control. Now we need to find a way to finish this as efficently as possible. Pullling soldiers out wont accomplish anything.

I know quite a bit of the history, but that is largely irrelevant to the fact that the war and subsequent occupation of Iraq was and is unconstitutional and therefore wrong. Article II, Sec. 8 gives Congress the authority to declare war, not the authority to give the President the power to declare war. All aspects of the prosecution of war, from funding, to a draft, to asking our finest to make the supreme sacrifice, follow from a declaration of war by the proper method. Anything less is unacceptable.
Congress has not declared war since 1941 and the nation is weaker and more divided because of it.

Yeah, you know a lot of people who have a opinions about abortion don't even know how to perform an abortion? What I'm saying is, complete knowledge of a subject isn't always necessary to form an opinion about it. Knowing the history of the United States and the Middle East might make your opinion better or more persuasive, but just because all you know about the war has come from reading the news since it started doesn't make your opinion irrelevant.

Taxes, whether this united states of america is in conflict or not we nonetheless pay them, Taxes are what made this united states of america what it truly is at the instant, with our roads and interstates. yet once you’re conversing regarding the upward push of standard Taxes like gasoline and such, it may desire to have something to do with the conflict yet not lots, that's extra as a results of availability and demand. the U. S. on my own makes use of extra advantageous than 35% of the international's oil. suitable now the U. S. pipe line coming for Alaska it relatively is stated as the (Alaskan pipeline the biggest pipeline interior the international) is barely a million/3 of what it was. The call for of oil interior the U. S. is becoming at an exceptionally severe value. It’s suggested that each and each guy or woman interior the U. S. makes use of over 3 barrels of oil in only sooner or later. nicely now that there is way less oil and extra those that want, the value and taxes will upward push and that’s grant and demand. Now whether this conflict is as a results of decision for of oil is previous me, yet I’d say it’s a sturdy probably that oil began the conflict interior the 1st place.

MOST people have no clue what they are talking about, I can give you history back to 5000 BC including tribal conflicts but the more relevent things date back to about the 1970s (some argue to post WWI and there is truth to that but we have to draw the line somewhere)
Not knowing the history and context doesnt make ones opinion not matter but it does show that the opinion is formed based on misconceptions or lack of understanding.

Yes, I serving in the Gulf War, most of the soldiers I have trained are currently serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. They are also serving in Bosnia, Korea, Germany, etc. Communication with them provides me with what they feel and what they are doing to improve the way of life for Iraqis. All that I have corresponded with are there with a genuine will to win, keep between this country and the enemy (that declared war on us), and give the Iraqis an opportunity to survive without fear of dictatorship or terrorists.

I've spoken with about 20 soldiers at length about what goes on there. I also find videos online and watch them (try to take them for what they're worth. Lot of propaganda out there). I do try to familiarize myself with the conflict, because if I don't I won't know what I am talking about.

I know enough to know I'm completely against it.
War should be the last option. You don't have to know a lot about a region to come to that conclusion. To the Bush administration, it was the first.
