The temple I am referring to is a Swaminarayan temple (but its not Akshardham) its a normal average size temple itself but has this large building out back used for accommodating guests and they arrange tours for them as well.

I'm sure its in New Delhi maybe I think I remember someone mentioning it was about 2-3 KM from train station.

Anyone know where I am on about and how I can get their contact details or preferably a website. I looked my self but all I keep getting is info on Akshardham.

Thank you anyway.

For a foreigner Delhi Metro is the best medium of commuting by public transport. It is punctual, clean, upto the standards they expect, though crowded. Other than that they may use the local auto-rickshaws (not called tuk-tuk here, as most foreign visitors wrongly tell back home; in Delhi it's simply called auto) though they may be very harassing. They certainly will overprice, but don't get bogged down as every Delhi auto-rickshaw has a meter installed and you should ask the driver to reset the meter before starting the ride. Hiring a taxi is yet another good alternative. Travelling by the DTC's HoHo bus service is a wonderful option of sightseeing in Delhi, though it is a dedicated service, where individuals don't have the flexibility to wander wherever they wish. At last comes the local DTC buses- colored Green and Red, and cluser buses- colored Orange and Violet. These are local Delhi buses which are highly erratic in service and very harassing to outsiders due to lack of proper information anywhere- internet or bus-stands regarding them. If however you are from within India, then you must have a good experience of North India to be abl to use all modes of public transport properly. Otherwise there usually remains no difference between Indian and foreign visitors in Delhi, except that foreigners are charged much more than our fellow compatriots.
