I have a 10 week old and this morning I felt a lump on the right side near his neck on the back of his head. You can not see it. You can just feel it. When you touch it , it kind of moves around..... Anyone ever seen this and it was serious or wasn't serious??

I am calling the doctor as soon as they open. :-(

It's a lymph node..There should be a smaller one on the other side too..Some kids just have them bigger than others..You may notice them getting bigger if he's getting sick..I had a son who had slightly bigger nodes too...So, I asked the doc too!

My oldest son had the same thing as a baby. I took him to the doctor right away and the doctor said it was normal...nothing to worry about...but just to be on the safe side I would take your son to the doctor and get a professional opinion, if anything, just to rest assured that your baby is fine.

It's probably just a lymph node or even a small cyst. Get it checked as it will make you feel better but don't worry. The fact it moves around shows it's probably one or the other.

Yes, they could be a reaction to vaccinations. My son had some in his groin area, like cysts, but they disappeared shortly thereafter -- after my trip to the hospital to find out!
