Yep. We all are humans and humans tend to forget things. Set it up on your comp calendar as reminders or on a free e-cards websites, they may have an option to keep all your friends B-days and remind you like a day earlier.

No, I keep a record forthe birthdays and name days of relatives and friends. Also of some important clients.
