The shootings in America have been terrible tragedies, but I wondered if it had made any school pupils think twice about picking on their fellow students for fear of a massacre happening at their school?

Kids aren't incapable of learning from history, but they do generally do what comes to them instead of thinking about consequences (kids with the tendency to be mean). I do think that parents should be responsible for teaching their children life lessons, but let's face it, some parents don't care. This leaves teachers and administrators with some responsibility to discuss the importance of treating peers with respect. This is an age old problem and not one with a real answer.

I really don't think so. Because kids will be kids. Teasing and bullying goes on in EVERY high school, middle school, and maybe elementary. It can range from small teasing to major harrassing (violence, threats, etc). It's because many of these kids don't really understand or attempt to understand the consequences of their actions.

It's basically like saying "My school will never be shot up" or "Yeah, if I bully this kid, he might just get back at me"...these thoughts don't go through these bully's minds.

To their faces.
You can't let something like change how you act.
