Chris, it's all about training. If you run regularly, then you will be able to run farther. A rule of thumb is that you can run 3 times your average daily distance. So if you average 1 mile per day, then on any given day, you should be able to run 3 miles.
Trick is, you don't run as fast. Good Luck

at college we ran a mile and half but i was still ok after that (four times round the kc stadium) and we used to run round west park in hull which was 5k
