Wow cowboydoctor is really upset lol..what an attitude..I am A licensed contractor..and working saturdays are quite common..I very seriously doubt someone was working 7 days a week 20 hours a day...I have worked 20 hours a few times in one stretch but not 20 hours every day...I believe the heart attack came from that 'sour attitude" on life...If A contractor has to work that much..then his work was shoddy and it had to be made right..or they didnt bid the job right and was forced to work long hours..in fact it is actually illegal due to safety concerns to work your help that long of hours...OSHA will shut you down in a heart beat if you do so..

I work by myself so I'm pretty flexible. Since I always have an agreed upon deadline, it is up to me. But if it is unplanned emergency job, or the customer tries to move up the deadline, I do charge a higher rate.

I do. You have to nowadays to get by. Then again I live in NJ. Don't pay anybody extra for it. I have guys that prefer working Saturdays and taking off Monday.

I worked seven, twenty's and I paid for it with a heart attack. For you that say don't pay the extra, then don't cry on Friday at four O'clock when we shut down 'till Monday and you can't take a shower until then. We eat and, pay bills like everyone else.
