I have never liked this ad, and I hope I'm not the only one. Not only have I never liked Phil Collins (and resent having the song stuck in my head every single day) but it really makes me not want to eat Cadburys - it makes me think of having Gorilla hair in my chocolate. Anyone know when it's coming off air?!

Surely the aim of advertising is to boost sales of the product?! I know, I know, there's no such thing as bad press, but this is not bad press, this is poor association.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who hates that ad, everyone I ask seems to think it's the best thing since sliced bread, but I really don't see the attraction. Like you I don't like Phil Collins, and can't wait for it to be removed. I just don't get the relevance it has to chocolate, and I actually saw the ad 6 or 7 times before I could remember what product was being advertised - it just don't make sense!!

i found it funny the 1st time i saw it because i thought here we go save the gorillas from extinction or something, then all of the sudden it starts drumming away, and im thinking holy **** a gorrila drumming and thought here we go save gorillas from being used as dancing market things (whatever it is that countrys do with them for shows) and then it shows a bar of chocolate, ffs pmsl whats a monkey gotta do with a chocolate bar, and its also coming in the air tonight yeah and all over are chocolate bars to for the creamy centre

The advert works then doesn't it.

The idea of advertising is not that you like them or hate them, it's that people talk about them the whole time. The more memorable they are, the more successful they are.

Have to agree with your Phil Collins analysis. Ok drummer and Crap singer.

i just cannot figure that one out to be honest with you...it's annoying...it goes on for too long....what's the message there?, i mean what does a bar of chocolate and a gorilla playing drums have in common?...beats me...
