I'm sure it happens.

This question is based upon a ludicrous assumption: that a man gets married to a particular woman primarily because of her beauty. I would assert that there are numerous qualities that are more important to a marriage than beauty: values, ability to communicate, sexual compatibility, maturity, sense of humor, etc. -- the list of qualities that make a woman marriagable is long. A sizable number of those qualities come before beauty. Therefore, of course some men leave their more attractive wives for less attractive women.

It happens at times, but whose to say which is more beautiful? I know I'm attracted to different people for different reasons...Could be they are just drop dead hot, or maybe they have the girl next door thing going or maybe she just has that slutty/ give me a money shot appeal. It all depends. And I forget who came up with the saying but it goes something like this..." You could see the most beautiful woman in the world, but somewhere, at some time someone got tired of f#cking her"

Beauty is only skin deep. It's what's inside that counts in the long run. Brains, personality and having things in common, can make even an ugly woman attractive.
I suppose the same could be said for men, though I have no real opinion on that.

Yes. I have seen men that left their wives for the other woman, and when I meet her, I've wondered what the attraction was. I think it happens more than you think.

yes, I'm sorry to say it does happen....most men notice the Lady's looks and then they are all in love with her, then after sometime has gone by, he starts to see her for what she is, some are good, but most of the time the real beautiful ones turn out to know that they are, and act like they are....so after a little time with her he will move on to find a woman with the same good qualities as his mom, even if she is not as good looking as his wife was........

i don't know about wives but girlfriends certainly. imagine if you were dating the sexiest woman you'd ever seen and now that you're with her the sex is horrible or non-existent.
when we see a stunning woman, we also imagine her as a perfect match for us. and then....
she doesn't speak english
she's a snob
she's not into sex at all.
she's got really weird eating habits.
she's an alcoholic.
she's high maintenance.
a lot of things could go wrong. but in a glimpse, none of the above is usually visible.

I'm going to come out with some cliche's here but beauty is in the eye of the beholder and what is important is inner beauty. The wife may be beautiful on the outside but may not be so beautiful on the inside.

No in the case of men it is in very few cases that they leave their wives for a less attractive woman. but if the condition is reverse than they most likely do.

Attraction is very subjective. Some blokes prefer blondes, some prefer brunettes. So yes, the woman the guy chooses would be the 'more attractive' but possibly only in his opinion.
Remember: beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
