Harry Potter is extremely interesting. Every book offers something different. Anyone at any age can read Harry Potter. : )

Yes it's very interesting! The first two books are lighter and the last five get a bit darker with every book and there is a bit of symbolism with some objects and people. It's a good series to read

Fascinating, magical, funny, scary, and with real emotional honesty and great characters.

Also, Jo Rowling does a great and honest job of portraying both adult characters and the main characters who age from 11 to about 18.

If you haven't read the series, I hope you will. For the record, I'm a baby boomer and I love the series. I see adults as well as kids reading the books on buses and subways and always stop to chat with them if I can.

doesn't the vast number of Harry Potter readers alone answer your question for itself? why would we read the books and go out an buy the new ones at midnight if they weren't interesting?

Yes. The series is well thought out, filled with characters about whom one becomes interested and emotionally invested. The themes are classic themes about good and evil, friendship, belonging, prejudice and tolerance.

One can quibble about her literary style, or lack thereof, but most who have read the books don't complain about that.

Overall, an excellent, interesting series.

I believe so.
I actually didn't get into it until about 10 days before the last one came. Never watched the movies either. I was bored and figured I'd see what all of the hype was about... I fell in love!! Great series. Pick it up..

They aren't really fabulous books. They are written on a 6th or 7th grade level, so are popular because they are accessible to anyone (same reason the Da Vinci Code, 7th grade reading level with adult violence was so popular).

i found it intresting....she built a imaginary world which i used to like it when i was a child.she introduced people and objects so clear that everyone can imagine it without seeing them....i think the movies are too weak and the best way is reading the book not watching movies.
