Actually, it was Nixon's price controls which were the problem. He inherited the inflation. Bad policy at the Fed worsened it. It was Volker who brought it to an end but the pill was very bitter at the time.

Fiscal policy has little impact on inflation. A President can add to the problem but cannot solve the problem.

He gave the U. S peanuts in that four years and when his term was up we made Peanut Butter out of him.Therefore He became a traitor to his country, preaching The New World Order Rhetoric,That's what got him that prize ,Just as Al Gore got his last night,for basically the same reason.In alot of countries you would go to jail ,in this country you get rewarded.
