withdrawal method is not 100% safe.. u can become pregnant even by dat method.. safe days.... in a 28 day menstrual cycle ovulation occurs at 14 th day.. 2 days prior and 4 days later to ovulation if intercourse occurs then one can become pregnant.. the rest of the days are called safe days ....

There is no such thing as a safe day. Women can get pregnant at any point of their cycle, including during their period. Try using non-latex condoms, perhaps the irritation is an allergy.

I've tried to peice this puzzle together before-sperm live for so many days, and your eggs are fertile for so many days, etc., but even after you peice together the date ranges, your "safe" window is still dependant on your personal menstrual cycle. I would recommend charting your ovulation, which you can do by taking your temperature everyday as soon as you wake up (I know it sounds weird). In women, ovulation will raise the basal body temperature 0.5-1 degree fahrenheit.
Because your temperature rises after you ovulate, you will have to do this for a coulple months to figure out your pattern. Then you have to predict when you will ovulate (higher temperature), based on your pattern. Normal sperm live up to 5 days, so if you don't have sex 5 days before your predicted ovulation (and then some, cause the eggs stay there for a bit too), then you can avoid pregnancy.

technically, NEVER. A woman can get pregnant at any point in her cycle. It's just more likely around ovulation (10-14 days after her period).

If you don't want to be pregnant, USE A CONDOM!

My husband and I were using the withdrawl method on so-called "safe days" only when I got pregnant with my 3rd child. There aren't really ANY safe days.
