I'm trying desperately to help my sister who has just been through a confusing experience with a guy friend. Please tell me what you think of this behaviour to try to make sense of the whole thing:

Over a period of more than one year...this guy did the following

He told her he was falling for her..this was online & he had taken a drink (you could say true feelings can be expressed
after a drink? or you get false courage?)
He called her beautiful sometimes
He contacted her lots
He invited her a few times on trips which she couldnt go on
He told her to hurry up and visit him..he lives in another city

When they met it seemed to go well, they kissed and she didn't sleep with him. he has contacted her since but he is not asking her for another date and she's disappointed. Ok they live in diff. states..so its difficult. They met in school so he knew her anyway in person. Can anyone make sense of this?

Yes definitely I do since I am a guy too,and lot's of guys here in the forum much less understand a guy's attitude such as this one.

As if your SISTER is desperately seeking someone and found this guy who didn't do the expected part. I get the story which usually the part where the prince met the princes. But this is not fairy tale story. So after the the online chat and the meeting personally of both parties here comes the saddest part, the guy didn't return the call so to speak. Well in the long analysis the guy didn't expect the person he is looking for in your sister. Obviously the guy is just flirting around with your sister, and when your sister didn't give in, he is so disappointed and forget the whole escapade with your sister. End of the story.

Advice your sister to forget the guy, there are more sensible guys out there you know, why waste her time with this one. It is much better she found out the true color of the guy before anything else blossom between them. Good timing.

The ridicule is only in accordance with an faulty assumption approximately gays, yet in this occasion, it is not directed at them according to se, from now on than utilising the word 'I throw like a woman' directed at women human beings. 'it extremely is so gay' is in common terms one among those passing sayings. Others have been 'what a spazz' and 'what an unco'.. and from some time past on your grandmothers' day, 'your mom wears try against boots', etc. I agree they're derogatory and ignorant, yet time passes and a few thing else takes the placement of the present day 'so gay' expression. can not come quickly sufficient, imo.

How long has it been? It could be lots of things like he could have got a job or loads of extra work so he has no time for the internet, or it could be down...of course if he's a scumbag then its because he wanted sex and didn't get it, some guys are like that but hopefully not this one. If he's a decent guy there will be a good reason, and if not then its better he doesn't talk to her again anyway.

Told her he was falling for her = he had had a drink and was feeling horny
Called her beautiful sometimes = when knowone else better was hanging around
Contacted her lots = after a drink is my guess???
Invited her on trips she couldn't go on = convenient huh?
Told her to hurry up and visit = hurry up, cause he thought she was gulible enough to jump in the sack with him
They kissed and nothing more = he wanted more alright!
Tell your sister to ditch the loser!

He's lost interest because she didn't sleep with him.

Maybe he also has a drink problem.

If he has - then the bottle will always come between him and any relationship.

maybe she isnt what he thought she was and lost interest, or doesnt want to take it any further because he feels she isnt right for her.

this happens all the time, sure its not nice for ya sister, but tell her not to beat herself up over it.

One of three things could have happened. He expected that she would have sex with him. He realized that he was not interested in her. He has someone else now.
