In Australia Raw is aired on Wednesdays and i have just finished watching Raw. I watch Raw with my brother who use to be a huge fan but now can't stand it. And i can understand why because when he use to watch WWF/E and WCW it was action packed wrestling that was exciting and not boring. On this weeks Raw there was less than 35 minutes in actual ring time.Raw has 2 hours and all it is capable of is less than 35 minutes of wrestling. I watch wrestling for wrestling not a d grade soap opera. On Raw this week apart from Hardy v Kennedy and HBK shocking return (I say shocking because even the smarts didn't see it coming) the show was abysmal. We had Coach looking for a midget, a band sing in a different language and just random crap and then when we got a match they give us Snitsky a guy the crowd is too lazying to boo because he is terrible in the ring. At the end of the show my brother asked how i enjoy this? WWE you want higher ratings then give us WRESTLING!

but still in 2002 Raw averaged in the high 5's now this year alone Raw has dropped from averaging in the high 3's and low 4's to low 3's and this weeks 2.8.Fans arent impressed with Raw these days.

The low rating could be a Neilson error, this has happened a few times in the past, not just once when fans heard about it and read about it on spoiler sites. If this wasn't a Neilson error, and I don't think it was, I bet Vince has many new bald spots from ripping his hair out. He may actually have to listen to the fans and give us more wrestling matches and less Diva and interview segments.
Going into the year 2008, I see quite a few releases happening to get the WWEs' budget down to something manageable since they'll bring in less money with lower ratings, both merchandisewise and eventually from the USA Network when they go to ink a new deal next year.

Everything you just mentioned is a good start.Here in the states Monday Night Football and MLB playoffs on the same night took out a large portion of the usual viewing audience. This last week especially.
But as You mentioned portions of this weeks show weren`t bad. The development of Marrela into a heel is coming along nicely. HBK shocking return. Like you said though. If they don`t drop the "RAW Dating Game" and Hide and Go seek with Hornswaggle. They will continue to lose the wrestling purists.

This is not accurate. TNA gives 80% wrestling and has lower cable ratings than Raw ---> in spite of beign broadcasted exclusively on cable tv. The 2 hour slot might change that a bit. Nonetheless Raw * or TNA * should hire David Hasselhoff for better intrigues!

wrestling a funny business we had the attitude era but with all the problems in entertainment music downloads bootleg movie and going online to see the outcome on raw people don't care no more until they change the format this will keep on happening

because of lack of superstars including the loss of the "almighty" john cena vince needs to open up that dusty wallet of his and hire people , like christ cena { good and amen} , lashley, edge , are injured . taker never wrestles , they fire angle , lose brock, rock, austin, foley, nash {if he wasn't fired cause of his big mouth} big show, rvd, sandman , sabu, hell even eugene and the the deaths of eddie and benoit and then the very lazy jbl {looks fine to me} you would think they would hire some top names back or the wwe will be doomed i mean did you see raw this monday when everyone from raw came to the stage like 90% of them were jobbers .

It's just not must see TV at the moment. When it was in the 4's and 5's peopel had to watch to see what was happening.
They just need something to trigger a resurgence

Basicly it had to do with MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL and Baseball on the same night !
Me personally im a RAW fan, but i went to a bar and saw the COWBOYS PLay!

This week's raw was terrible aside from the forementioned Hardy/Kennedy match and HBK surprise, I absolutely agree, and you and I aren't the only ones who feel this way.

well when they do stupid scripts like hornswoggle being vinces son wot do u expect,not having a go at your question just stating a fact thats all,it seem as if all they are trying to do is turn wwe into 1 big joke,i used to love it 3 or 4 years ago now its a little boring

Who knows why it is going down. People are saying it's because of Cena, I would disagree. If anything ratings should have increased because of those who want to hear about what happend to Cena.
