Do you think this is a case of "new broom sweeps clean " and that we may finally be getting closer to the truth ? Poor Maddy certainly doesn't deserve all this. What are your thoughts ?

Faith..... the ironic thing is that she will now answer the 40 questions because she has had weeks to confer with her lawyers and learn what to say.That is of course unless she suddenly takes a turn for the worst healthwise and is unable to travel.

The big problem with the McCanns is that they think they are above the law and that their financial backing and high powered lawyers will shoot down any "evidence" They treat us all like idiots.

Karen..... especially Mitchell and the lawyers ! But then they are only in it for the money. Just as Justine McGuiness put in a claim for over £50,000 for a few weeks work !!

I have said before, with this man the McCanns from now on have to be careful to treat Portugal as 3rd world and the Portuguese as Muppet's.
I believe because it just makes sense, they didn't have to go back if they have answered in the first place when they tried to consider all Portuguese Police as idiots, who are the bizarrely idiots now?
McCanns, stop being arrogant and pretend that you know everything (more than Portuguese and British Police together) and just try to behave as "normal" people and do as your told, remember you are suspects so you have to and even more to have some respect and consideration for MADELEINE!

Here here Koopla. Your theory seems spot on to me.I can't see it any other way ,so why are certain people still living in hope that Kate is innocent.Alright, she hasn't been convicted YET, but it doesn't take an idiot to work out that they have played a part in Maddie's death, it's written all over their guilty faces, and with them now being the suspects ,do people still think they are innocent, I for one, have never had any doubt in my mind that they played a part in Maddie's so called disappearance and I'm sticking to that. The funds set up for their daughters disappearance is sick and they are twisted.They've taken everyone for mugs, but at the end of the day they are the mugs thinking that they could get away with their sordid twisted lies and the murder of their beautiful daughter.

Noticed the PR reply, the Mc Canns are distressed by this. So begins a new campaign to rubbish another detective. There are two choices here people. Either every detective in Portugal is an idiot or there is something in the evidence that keeps leading all these detectives back to the Mc canns. Now let me think which scenario I am going with. Geez that is a hard choice, isn`t it?
Faith she can`t keep telling the truth because she and her husband refused to answer questions the first time they were interviewed. if she comes back with well thought out questions to those answers now, that is going to look very incriminating.
If I asked all the blokes on here, ` Have you every looked at a naked lady site on the net?` If they don`t answer yes or no straight away, they are lying. To come back 5 minutes later with an answer tells me they are hiding something. it is the same with the Mc Canns.

I think she'll just clam up again.
There's a reason why she never answered the 40 questions.
Where do they go from there? Is refusing to answer a sign of guilt? Surely every question should be answered if it helps find your daughter, even if it's a flat out denial or in disgust.

If it's true, then maybe HE can get her and her husband to answer the 40 questions they refused to answer for the 'lesser cops.' The McCanns may or may not be innocent, no one knows, but the fact that they are refusing to answer questions is suspicious in itself. My prayers are still with Madeleine, and I hope that whoever has done this to her is brought to justice.

it is high time the parents were treated to intensive questioning by several aggressive and expert examiners and if then they refuse to answer the 40 questions, they should be given the same treatment used by the CIA to obtain the truth from their prisioners.
