I dont know what to do bout my situation. I made friends with a guy (who has a gf) and works with my sis. He went to hug me and cause i was bit uncomfortable he told my sister that he thought he embarrassed me and that i had a crush on him. My sister dont want me to say anything to him and to be honest she doesnt know if he was joking or not but he is known as a windup merchant as he told my sis i was chatting him up the once. How do i let on im not interested as i am quite embarrased as i dont know what ive done to make him think this. I email him now and again but not every day and ive only asked him to lunch twice. All i can think is if ive acted nervous round him as i am round guys or something ive said

If it was me, I'd back off him all together! He does have a girlfriend. I think his statements are just his way to get more attention. Blow him off and move on, he's the one with a problem, not you. Be polite, don't tell him to bug off, but don't play his little game.
Guys can be so goofy.......

If you cant avoid saying hi in the steet do so but do not do anything else that requires you to make the first move like send a Email you are initiating contact and he reads it wrong so dont initiate anything ~~

i would email him and tell him that you didnt mean to send mixed messages to him that you just wont to be friends nothing else and see if that helps if not then i would distant youre self from him
