There are 2 possibilities -
1) You can use a "Restore Point" and check if they are there.
2) This is the most likely way to retrieve them. You need to go into "My Computer", C:, "Program Files" then Outlook (My Computer\C:\Program Files\Outlook. Open the Outlook folder and look for a folder with the name "In.mbx" Open the .mbx file in "Wordpad". You can now view all the E-Mails that you lost. However, it will not be indexed and you will have to check the headers for individual details. In the same program (Outlook) find the "WAB" (Windows Address Book) file and open it, this contains your addresses

MG, where is your nerd boyfriend? Or nerd best girlfriend? You better start leveraging your people skills, honey, or you're in for lots more of the same in life.
What are doing with an IBM-Clone anyway? I gave you more credit than that! Girl Go Get a Mac -- they're cheap nowdays. If you're gonna drive Windoze, you have to learn to Live in Fear - Do Not Trust Your Computer. My advice is Make the Call - NOT Geeks'R'Us, but a Local Mom'n'Pop PC shop - and spend the money for help you thought you saved when you decided to buy a BillGates drone. Handling these issues can be done by regular people, but it takes hours, sometimes days (weeks, months), and it's not worth it for people with Real Lives. Every M$ user has to have techsupport, whether they do it themselves, have a friend, or pay. (If it's a Friend, make sure you are Grateful! Dinner is a good Start :)
Your icon is still missing - if you didn't save a copy, I put one on my 360 page for you.
Cheers, and good luck
-xoxo
1. Try to uninstall Windows Live Mail Beta, hopefully OutlookExpress will still have all your mail and config. OE is probably still unchanged and useable on your machine, the shortcuts were just removed. You might look for "C:\Program Files\Outlook Express\Msimn.exe" and run it, create a desktop shortcut, etc.

Just go to your search in windows and it should find them. DON'T load any BETA products from any where as they have usually got bugs and things and they are more trouble than the are worth. If you really want to down load BETA products that's fine as long as you do it on an old pc and have got the time to play with it .Once the program is authenticated give it at least 12 months before down loading so the company has had time to make further adjustments to it . A good example is VISTA. Good luck.
