They've looked good all season so far....they've shown they can run, they're passing effectively, their defense has held up, they've shown heart coming back from late defecits, they're 1st place right now in their division....
I know the last two years they were sucking it up, but what do they have to do before everyone stops assuming they're bad just because they're the Raiders? I know Denver and KC and SD fans will always rip them, but they arent the laughingstock of the league anymore.....
I'd love to see my Raiders get at least the credit they've earned and deserve, if not a little optimism about their chances this year. Right now it looks like they could even make the playoffs in the West.

Raiders are a hard to like and respect from their times in the past as they took on trouble makers. They are on their way up and they look good...its just too bad DeMarcus Russell didnt get to play in the preseason due to working out the contract, cause he could be ready to take over and be the man by midseason. They have a better backfield I like the QB situation with either one but Culpepper needs to pass the ball better. The defense is what keeps this team going and helps them win ball games.
There are a lot of Raider haters for the Faiders. I am a Cowboys fan and we catch it all the time as well so it comes with who you are. Who cares how they talk about your team just support them and when they win just tell them I told you so.

Bashing the Raiders? Do you actually read the answers here? The bashing is about the Cowboys 50% of the time and the Patriots about 49% of the time. EVery other NFL team gets off pretty easy.

Its usually about who is the better QB, Peyton or Tom...not about the Raiders...and its about half Colts fans and half Patriots fans and they just bash the other QB....
When the Raiders get back to the playoffs...IF they do, they won't be a punchline...They've been so bad for 5 years since the glory days of...Rich Gannon...

When Al Davis dies. I'll come back to read the rest of the question in a moment, but want to give you the straight up answer. That Franchise has a history/reputation. That is why a lot of people bash them. That reputation was "earned" by Al Davis. He wanted it and now he has it.
Now to your question. I will give them credit, they are leading the division. Not sure it is the best division this year. They are winning it though.
