I am a 35 year old physician. I have been sleeping with a 20 year old student nurse---who came on to me--not vice versa. now she tells me she is 6 to 7 weeks pregnant. I told her to get an abortion, but she wont. What type of child support would I have to pay? I live in Michigan. Someone told me they get 400 a month, but does it go on my salary? how can I convince this little tramp to just get an abortion and leave me alone? How is she the "tramp"?! I must have misread this somehow or you're just the DUMBEST physician in the WORLD! :) Yes, I know, "Oh, I'm a physician...I am better than everyone. I am so smart" Guess not, huh? Got TOLD! You know condoms do exist, don't you make enough money to purchase them?!?! If not, you can always bum off some other doctors/physcian. If you want her to get an abortion so bad, why don't you try it yourself?! UGH! PISS ME THE $%^&*( OFF!! =)

If you are a physician, then you can afford an attorney. I doubt you are a physician, because I know many and they would never turn to Yahoo Answers for legal advice--they're smarter than that, and they can afford real legal advice from an actual attorney.
I'm sure she's going to get a whole lot more than $400 a month, so get ready to dig deep into your pockets.
If she was working under your supervision, you better hope she doesn’t file a complaint against you with the state medical board. If she does, you may be suffering some serious consequences.
Sounds like she has you by the balls, so you might want to refrain from the name-calling. I’d suggest you don’t piss her off.

you cannot force someone to have an abortion, especially when their religion may not allow them to do so. As far as the child support, surely you make enough to care for the child?
Or are you trying to tell us that you are married with kids already?
If so, then you need to ask for forgiveness, from the wife from the girl AND from God!
Then learn from this mistake, and the next time a little hottie comes on to you...remember your mistake and try not to do it again!
You know, she may have had this all planned out, or she may have had a "thing" for you. But whatever it was, end it and move on with your life without her.

Just because your a doctor, doesn't mean she has to have an abortion.
Besides, being a doctor, why didn't you use contraception?
Child support? What's your problem with it? Can't you afford it? It's your baby, too.

you didn't think she was a tramp when you were sleeping with her now did you?!!
she is entitled to child support and you need to stop being a d*ck and man up. if you didn't want the possibility of being a father then you should have made damn sure you were using protection or not have slept with her at all!!!
they base child support off of how much you make (they will deduct any income she recieves on her own). you will have to take a paternity test (court ordered-you can't avoid it) to make sure you are the father.
i can't not believe you take care of patients!! i wouldn't want you touching me or any members of my family after hearing this. you were big enough to have sex-you're big enough to own up to your responsibilites.
if you don't want to SEE the child-that's your choice (and mistake if you ask me-wait till that child hears you are a doctor and wanted nothing to do w/him or her. you value life a whole lot don't you?) but the support you have no control over.
if you try to harrass,threaten, or harm her in anyway-all she has to do is report you to the medical board and you're license could be in jeopardy.
sounds like you better grow up some and face the consequences. it's HER choice to have the child-NOT yours!!! and i hope she takes your *ss to the cleaners!!

eww now shes a little tramp? you slept with her so what does that make you? your a doctor and you dont even know that it takes two? you had the opportunity to say no,.your a selfish person to think that you are any better. own up to your responsibility and be a father to the child because there are too many kids out there without dads and all your worried about is money you selfish a -hole my mom raised me by herself because my dad was a coward too he never gave us a penny, im glad to have never met him. you are a hipocrite to call her a tramp
i have to add that you are such a loser! as a doctor you make enough money to pay child support no matter what.... there are so many of us blue collar workers out here that are happy to support the well being of our children that you make me sick. your a doctor and all your worried about is money. try being happy that you now are going to have a child. some of us take in other peoples children and support them too and are happy to do it. you are supposed to care about people but after this display of selfishness im assuming your one of those doctors that works for the insurance companies and care only about yourself and very little for the people you attend to

As a physician,you should know how to prevent pregnancy.You're just as much at fault as she is because it takes a sperm AND an egg to make a baby.She didn't knock herself up.It's obvious she had help.But.......make darn sure the baby is yours.I've seen what happens to men who end up paying child support on a kid that's not even theirs.

Your supposedly a doctor. That means as such you should have known better. Like using some form of birth control. Well doctor or not. You'll have to pay child support. If you have a good income it could be more than $400.00 a month.

You probably should have worn a condom, or made sure she was on a form of Birth control. This is what happens when you have "casual sex" as you know.
She might have done it intentionally to trap you...
But just think about it...That's your child growing within this woman. Do you really want to kill it just for some child support issues? You should think before you act...Because this is what happens.
Child support depends on your income, I think...
I'm really sorry if this girl did this intentionally. My cousin had the same thing happen to him and it sucks.

Doctor's and cops both worthless!She will get 1/4 of your pay check for the next 18 years.Next time keep it in your pants.If you ever saw her as her Doctor you will probably need to find a new job as well.All together now"Would you like fries with that"
