Is it bad (health wise) to take prenatal vitams if you're not pregnant?

I have never been pregnant and my multi-vitamin is a prenatal vitamin. I've been taking prenatal vitamins for 7 years. I had a pharmacist at my local Wal-Mart tell me that the prenatal vitamin is the best vitamin for a woman to take.

You can buy prenatal vitamins over the counter. I checked with my doctor to make sure it was ok with her to take them and she said it was.

Please check with your doctor as well to see what they say about you taking prenatal vitamins.

I started taking them to try and help my hair and found that it also helped my skin and nails (made them grow faster). I buy my prenatal vitamins at Wal-Mart.

I would say yes otherwise your gyne would've given them to you.
