they just don't know how to win in the clutch. this is the 3rd year in a row that they lost in the 1st round. they have too many guys on the team who make too much money and don't do anything in post-season.

To say the Yankees suck is like saying the Indians, Red Sox & Tigers have made play-offs for 13 straight years, by the way they didn't. Tigers last title 1985, Indians last title, was in the 1950's & granted the Red Sox did win in 2004 after waiting 85 years between titles. I realize that Yankees have lost in play-offs in the first round for a few years but to say they suck is not true. 26 titles, & I know all Yankee haters always say that most Yankee fans didn't see most of them but I saw them win in 1977, 1978, 1996, 1998, 1999 & 2000, now that's 6 in that time frame. They still have won more titles in that time span than the Indians, Red Sox & Tigers combined. Have the three teams I mention win 3 titles in a row since you starting watching baseball. New York will always be a contender & they always field a good team. Fans can have their opinions but to say the Yankees suck, means you don't know nothing about baseball. Why didn't the fans say the Braves suck when they were winning all those division titles & only 1 World Series, oh by the way, they beat the Indians.

actually "PATTY BOY" Atlanta has the most straight playoff appearances.
The YANKEES suck because their owner, their fans & the NY media will not be satisfied unless the yanks spend tons of money on big name players! To much $$$ not enough chemistry. They're a bunch of overpaid superstars on a team full of over paid superstars!!! Seriously, who but the Yankees would pay that much for JOHNNY DAMON...JOHNNY ******' DAMON!!!!
The reality of the situation is that until NY realizes that you can no longer buy championships the way baseball is now set up (w/ the steriod ban/ profit sharing/ wild card) they will have to do what most of the other teams in baseball have had to do, build a good team with a mix of homegrown talent & exerienced veterens.
I think that Brian Cashman has seen how it has made the RED SOX an amazing team (since the new ownership took over in 02') and is now trying the same thing. Unfortunately for the YANKEES, Old' George probably won't stand for that because it will take time so Cashman will be fired soon and then things can go back to normal. Yankees sucking and spending billions on 1st round playoff exits!!!

You are pathetic....The Yankees have made the post season 12 years straight.... The New York Yankees are the most storied franchise in professional sports...They have won more world series then any other team!!
As for the poor performance in the last 3 post seasons it boils down to one word PITCHING!!!!!
What Joe Torre and the rest of the Yankees did this year with them being written off before the all star break and coming back to win the wild card says alot about the team!!!
All you Yankee bashers and Haters get your kicks in now because it wont last long.....The Yankees are going to come back and go on a tear!!! I can see you of you crying !!!

Yeah they do not suck bad. I would hardly call 12 straight post season appearances sucking bad.
I am far from a Yankee fan but lets get real just because you dont like them doesnt take away from what they accomplished the last 12 years. It is statements like these that make you just as annoying as those obnoxious Yankee fans.

Screw all you Yankee bashers. They make the playoffs every year. How come Atlanta did not get bashed like them? They won only 1 WS during their run. Look how many the Yankees have won. Teams are more keyed up when they play the Yankees. Greatest franchise in MLB history.

Cuz they are in the AL East, and the Sox are better and that they can't beat the Devil Rays, Blue Jays, Oriole, Royals, and White Sox. 5 of the worst 15 teams in baseball and they can't beat them.

BECAUSE THEY DON'T USE THE FORMULA OF THE LATE 90'S. THE PRESENT YANKEES TEAMS LIKE TO BUY USELESS EXPENSIVE STARS, INSTEAD OF TRUSTING IN NEW PEOPLE; INSTEAD OF MAKING UP A BALANCED TEAM, BECAUSE THEY NOW PREFER TO HAVE THE BIG NAMES.
