Dear,
I've read Humpty Dumpty sitting on the wall 52 years ago when I was studying in the lower primary Government English School, Parit, Perak, Malaya and later Iskandar Shah School, Parit, Perak, Malaysia after Malaya Independent. (The Queen Coronation in 1954). I was a British Subject at that time living in the State of Perak the "Protected" Federated Malay States, the British Colony, United Kingdom (UK, The HRH, HM, The Queen)
The shape look like an egg but with head, hands and legs. Humpty and Dumpty wasn't an egg. Yes, the Song "On top of old Smoky" "Row. row, row your Boat", "This old man, he play.......(last verse) "this old man came running home". The song GOD SAVE THE QUEEN still in my mind. I too learned lots of the songs and still remember until today.

I go be the pictures in Mother Goose. Some of the nursery rhymes are freaky, but Grimm's fairy tales are freakier.
