So few people understand satire! As to the "wild side", it's that busy street downtown where all of the pretty girls in short skirts and high heels are strolling....and the cops are patrolling.

It used to be around 8th Street in Manhattan between 8th St and Ave. A & 7th, but that was a long time ago and it's probably been torn down to put up a parking lot.
