So I am a "top contributior" in Games & Rec, Amusement park. Every time I have logged on looking for quesitons in this catagory, I have seen that Yada Yada Yada is listed as "Top answerer", but yet, I have never seen one of his answers. Ok, maybe I missed some from before, but I checked, and he hasn't answered one question for at least 2 months. So why is he still listed as tops?
I'm not saying that I should be, I think that that honor probably should go to Steve or OC, since I see them answering in this section constantly. But why is a now MIA person still on top. How long does he have to be gone for him to be knocked off. (No harm intended, I'm just tired of seeing his icon on there if he's MIA).

Niether myself or OC have had as many top answers as he has but we are catching up. I see him listed as top all over the place so I'm guessing he answered a lot of questions early on, posted some good number and now he isnt doing it as often so its just a matter of catching up. I have also noticed Yahoo has some problems with the leader board and theres times I dont even show up and the numbers are way off. I'm guessing Yahoo is using a backup list thats way out of date, todays list shows where we are but tommorrows list might be back to the old out of date list again.
Thanks for noticing those of us that are here trying to help with everyones questions.

"Top Contributors" are awarded every monday for whatever reason yahoo! decides to give them out. Noone really knows exactly what it takes (that i've found).
"Top Answerers" are shown on a daily basis. They are determined by who has the most "Best Answers" in a given category. When someone surpasses their number of Best Answers then they are replaced. Click the link at the top of the page to see the top 10 answerers in each category and how many Best Answers they have.
You have 95. Yada....has 266 right now.

Its stressful artwork. You cant get it by using undemanding asking any variety of question and posting it decrease than religious type. He probably answered a lot of questions and got best answer before he went on holiday (or whatever).
If you check the leaderboard, you'll find that some of the really top answerers have so many answers and best answers, they'll be 'top' contributors for a loooong time yet.
Think of them as historical figures ~ we'll never be Cleopatra, but we're here now and she's not, lolol ;-)
