Where are they sold? I'm going to USA soon and want to gift my friends there with some papyrus paper cuz they love it ;) I remember I bought some before (3 yrs ago) from an Egyptian art craft store in a mall but I don't remember the name of the mall. I'm not willing to go to khan elkhalily cuz I'll have to walk a lot and cross roads lol. I love the ones with the paintings of Pharohs. Are there any frammed ones sold as well? cuz all I could find were just the papyrus papers alone. Ok addresses please! :D

The ones in Khan el Khalili, malls or downtown are not good. The best are at Ragab papyrus in a boat at the Cornish el Nil the side where Cairo Sheraton, Fish market restaurant, Pharaoh boat are. At the Pyramids area there are good ones too, but they are far.

almost any of the good hotels have shops selling papyrus in them but they are expensive and i think its an excellent gift for a foreigner especially if they have never been to Egypt. i give every child in my class a papyrus book mark, every year and they love them. its really surprising but at the end of the year they still all have their book marks and they are usually still in good condition. for anyone who knows what young children are like you will know this is pretty amazing.

Is it worth money or is it valuable to you? What is the question? An art museum can help you identify the origins of the painting and give you an idea of its value. But beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.

Why would a muslim want to give a 'gift' with a portrait of the worst man ever created? Who enslaved the people of Musa (as) and tried to kill a rasool of Allah(swt)...If u want to give a gift of this type, get one made with their name in Arabic or better yet a hadith from the Best of creation (saws)
