i used to work at Chicken Treat and after seeing the way they make their food i don't think i'll ever be able to stomach it again. Have you ever worked in the fast food industry? and if you did were they unhygenic too?

After working at a grocery store Deli that served fried chicken and fast food style chinese. After seeing how my co-woprkers took their hygeine, I can't touch the stuff anymore. I got yelled at for taking time to wash my hands rather than helping a customer right away. I quit after that

I don't think the fast food places are necessarily better or worse than other restaurants. On the positive, most are inspected not only by the health department but by the franchise head office people, who will take a franchise away from an owner who is not keeping it up. A lot of fast food places have people working out in the open where they can be seen by customers, a lot can go on unseen in places where you can't see what goes on in the kitchen.

I actually work for Mc Donald's and our store is VERY clean. We wear gloves when making the food, wash our hands A LOT. We even have a buzzer that goes off every 30 minutes to stop and wash our hands. All Mickies keeps there stores clean...that's why we have never had an Ecoli outbreak or other serious illnesses stemming from poor hygiene.

For the most part... yes, they are.
You want your food fast - not perfect.

I worked in a Schlotzsky's Deli in texas - and my first day I was told that if a snadwhich fell on the ground during luch hour rush, i was suppose to pick it up without the customer seeing, dust it off, and keep going. That was 12 years go. I still can't eat at Schlotzsky's.

I don't think Subway is unhygenic at all. We all wash our hands and put gloves on before touching any food. Subway has very strict handwashing policies.

you need to find the ones who wear gloves and wash hands all the time like subway. have seen some very bad stuff at the other fast food places and dont see gloves being used in most of them.

Almost all of the fastfoods are unhygenic, sometimes they use dirty hands in making it.... Anyway, why don't you choose another place to work. As what I've learned from someone, eating fastfoods is not good, such can cause diseases just beacause of eating such

Send a email to your local health authority asking if they can make all inspections publicly available on-line, That's what they are going to do here by 2008 !

please message me what they used to do that you didn't like as i have 15 years of kitchen experience and I`m also curious!

People are just too lazy. Just look at Military kitchens; they're **** and span.

The dirtiest restaurants in America are usually Chinese, Vietnamese and Thai resturants.
