If they are married then yes I believe that they should divorce. Illegal drug use is a deal breaker in my book and I am unwilling to put up with it.

Pot is really not that big of a deal. My brother's been smoking it for 30 years and he runs a successful company. When I smoked it in college I got straight A's (because it made my textbooks interesting). I don't know how your husband could have hidden the smell from you...??? Some people can hide that they're stoned because pot is so mild, like having one glass of wine, but I would think you'd smell it on his breath??? If that is the only drug he does, it's really nothing!!! The only reason it's not legal is political and has nothing to do with it being healthy or unhealthy. Now if he did any harmful (hard) drugs, I would say tell him to quit or leave.
Cannibis is NON-toxic, meaning it's impossible to overdose on it. Alcohol can kill you in one night if you drink enough, but you could sit and smoke constantly and it can not kill you.
I hope he at least uses a bong so he's not burning his lungs. That's the only damage possible for the body, from high heat inhalation.

first of all you should read a little about pot...
people have a prejudice with pot...sadly alcohol and smoking are worse than pot and it has been proved scientifically but these discoveries will never come out because the government, the people who have the power don't want people to think.
for example- look at someone who smoke pot, and look at someone who's drunk as drunk can be. notice the difference in behavior. it's stunning. and alcohol is allowed and pot is a drug.
anyways- the recent research in the field has proven that pot is the only natural remedy for glaucoma (an eye decease) and a remedy for asthma. also, people with cancer use pot to ease their pains. it is a medicine, a plant God gave us.
why don't you smoke some with your husband...talk. listen to music because- music sound so much better, make love, make up...and...don't argue about such a ridiculous thing.

There is a such thing as a casual smoker... one hit and they're satisfied.
I can go to school, get good grades, hold a job, and take care of business... AND I CAN SMOKE TOO!
if you have a problem with it, leave the guy... but u do look kind of stupid not being able to notice in the last three years... besides.. you loved him through it. or is it your pride, because u feel stupid.
and besides.. i've never heard of someone dying of an overdose of MARIJUANA.
ahh.. email me if anything i say interests you, or pokes your brain.
as a response to some of these other closed minded people... could you give something up that you deem harmless, yet he finds completely offensive?
DO NOT BE CLOSED MINDED... if you love the guy.. you should be able to understand. if not then you deserve to spend your time looking for something else.

Are you American? Because, I mean, at least in Europe pot is hardly considered a drug. I'm not saying is good to be smoking it ALL the time, but everyone has at least try it. I wouldn't get divorced over that, unless we're talking about some one who smokes a lot of it and shows syntoms like being sleepy all the time and distracted. For me, the bad thing isn't the pot, it's the lying. If she doesn't trust him anymore,or if he didn't trust her enough or felt comfortable enough with her to tell her, maybe they should break up

Nope. She should find another way to stand her ground before divorce. I'm sure there are some good things in their marriage worth holding on to. She can ask him to leave or she can leave until he gets his act together.... Then they are separated and he sees she is serious.
After the legal separation... then divorce if he feels she is not worth giving up the pot.

its understandable.
but really when u look at it.. pot is a plant.. not no household chemical substance. this plant goes way back.. in china and native americans. really its not a big big deal but its lawful. at least he eats well lol. but no they shouldnt get divorce. most likely they will because if shes serious about this, its gonna bug her everyday. but no they shouldnt get divorced, they gotta work something out to where maybe he can continue hiding it. or just stop to save the marriage

I don't know about pot, but I would divorce a cigarette smoker the moment I smelled the foul stuff on his breath. I think I would be a bit more patient with a pot smoker. Depends what he smells like.
