Yes, but you can put your cell # on the DO NOT CALL list.
And that number is:
888-382-1222
and you have to call it from your cell phone. This is the same number that you call to put your regular phone on the same list.
And it is good for 5 or 6 years.

I'm a telemarketer and well there where times that the number appears in our auto dialer is a cellphone. But I'm trying to avoid them because I'm tired of irate callers. (I cant blame them)
We dont really want to piss off peaople, We are humans too and we actually hate the job but we have no other choice because we have families to support and I need this so I can finish college.
I switched to a new telemarketing department which is called
Inbound and now my life is easier because it's the clients who are the ones calling me. Thank God! no more hang ups and "take me of yourlist" because it's me who receive calls vie Tv shopping networks.
Just put your number in the Federal DNC list so you wont receive calls.

1. No cellular company can charge you for receiveing a phone call.
2. Your numbers will not be released to anyone but to whom you wish to.
3. If someone calls you without your permission you cetainly report it to the cellular operator and/or file a suit in the court.
4. If you are worried about these calls, just go and register in the Do Not Disturbe list with your operator. Call customer care.

Just include your cell phone number on the Do Not Call List. I did that when it 1st came out and I have never got one on my cell phone. Besides, I don't answer numbers I on't know.

I actually LIKE it when telemarketers call....
{Transcript of last telemarketer call}
Telemarketer- Hello, is this the homeowner?
Me- No.
TM- Could I speak to the homeowner, please?
Me- Yeah, she's outside, so give me a minute to find her. *hangs up*
Ideally, the telemarketer sat there cluelessly for no less than 5 minutes.

I am not sure, I have heard quite the buzz about it though.
I personally like to just keep talking to them, ask them about if I buy two....three....five? Then ask If I could get a discount on them, I have neve rhad one stay on for more than 7 min, they just hang-up.
I know its horrible, but I get such a laugh out of it.

I hope not. It would add meaning to the saying about adding insult to injury.

Yes, you have to re-do your info on the "do not call" list.
