My cell phone is off most of the time,
except when I use it to call out.
I don't give the # to anyone,
but the family & my doctors.

Yes, and when I had a landline, I turned that off too. I need my sleep! The only emergency that might occur would be with my son's family, and if he needs me he knows he can come to the house and wake me up.

phone are not meant to be kept off or on silent. mobile pone is one thing where people can reach you anytime anywhere even if you are far away from them...just dial the number and you are on a call... its boring when it keeps ringing and doenst stop. you are handicapped without a mobile. so its should be always kept on adn not off.

Nope, it's on almost 24/7. The only time it's not on is when I really don't want to be reached.

Certainly not. It wont serve the purpose if I turned it off. But I put it in a discreet mode.

Sometimes I do whenever I really don't want to be disturbed. However, I rarely get cellphone calls at night.
