i just wanted to have a gadget that captures great photos & video & plays good music. A cellphone would be handy but it would achieve less quality than buying a digicam. My option in cellphone is nokia N73, SE K800, & samsung U700. In digicam I like olympus best. I wanted to come up with something that I can always carry & gives the best result..pls help.tnx.God bless.

Well if I am in your place, I would buy both, a digicam and a cellphone. There is really a difference when you take pictures in a digicam rather than in a cellphone although it can capture quality pictures. Also, there are features that a cellphone has that a digicam has not. All the cellphones you had mentioned are good quality cellphones with great features, allthough I have leanings on SE rather than Nokia for practical reasons. Although I have known that Samsung are good cellphones if you are after playing music.

Of course it will always be your choice if you want handy then you must opt for a cellphone. I hope I helped.

If your primary purpose is to take photos, there's no sense buying a phone for its camera. Buy a digicam.
No matter how much megapixel a phone has, it would still flop compared to a true digital camera.

On the other hand, if you want a device that can take decent pictures worthy to be uploaded in friendster plus multimedia capabilities, by a camera phone. Yeah N73 is a good choice.

A phone is just that -- a phone. You didn't mention anything about actually talking on the phone in your question. Maybe you should consider buying a separate camera and mp3 player if having a phone isn't that important to you, especially since you seem interested in good-quality pictures. And I bought a camera earlier this year, and found that Canon is almost universally recommended.

Since you don't want a cellphone, then go for a good digicam.

I suggest Nokia N-series cellphones from N70 to N95 which would fit your budget. They are user friendly, with high quality and not costly.....
