parents ever told you that sometimes they wished that they hadn't wasted their time raising you? My mom has told me that so many times...

Yeah.. but thats when only I kept telling them that I wish I had other parents instead of them, but the truth is, I think they're the greatest thing I could ask for. Because when we're mad we'll just say anything that comes to the mind.. no matter if it isn't true or hurts.

But you know,, you just gotta move on and learn how to sort out the truth and lies yourself, you know.. so there are no explanations or sorries needed. Cause I'm sure your mom would regret saying those words.. :)

And sure I'd love to see some changes in them..to finally be the perfect family laughing as sweetly as any other..no matter how broken up we can be..but it takes two hands, two sides to change both! And I'm sure they'd love to see changes in me :)

I grew up being told by my father that I would never amount to anything and that I was stupid!! He has done a lot of changing within himself in the last 25 years since my Mom passed away!! Now he is much more supportive, in fact, I don't know what I would do if he wasn't here in my life now!! We have both had to work very hard to get where we are today!! I don't understand how any parent could say that to the child, no matter what their age is!! I'm sorry!!

That's just wrong. No parent should ever talk to their children like that. Raising a child is NEVER a waste of time!

Your mom is hurting and anger filled and she allows it to spill out onto you.
Success is the best revenge, so do what ever you can to be successful. Work at your education, get a job and save your money, keep your nose out of trouble.

No. I am really sorry to hear that.

I do not know what to say but this verses from the Bible:

"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat (or drink), or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds in the sky; they do not sow or reap, they gather nothing into barns, yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are not you more important than they? Can any of you by worrying add a single moment to your life-span? Why are you anxious about clothes? Learn from the way the wild flowers grow. They do not work or spin. But I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was clothed like one of them. If God so clothes the grass of the field, which grows today and is thrown into the oven tomorrow, will he not much more provide for you, O you of little faith? So do not worry and say, 'What are we to eat?' or 'What are we to drink?' or 'What are we to wear?' All these things the pagans seek. Your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. But seek first the kingdom (of God) and his righteousness, and all these things will be given you besides. Do not worry about tomorrow; tomorrow will take care of itself. Sufficient for a day is its own evil. (Matt. 6:25-34)

Our heavenly Father is looking out for you. Go to Him. Pray and I too will pray for you.

Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam

My Mom use to tell me that all the time. I just made darn sure that my children would never ever have that thought enter their mind. I think it was jealousy on my Mom's part.

Oh sweetheart, that is so sad and cruel! My parents have never said it straight like that, but I know that they would have liked me to have been a whole other way, and not me. But I never asked to be born, right? *hugs*
