Greetings. pretty screwed up. Clinton committed adultery. doing so is not a crime. so he was charged with committing a non-crime. since it was not a criminal offense and he lied about it, what is the charge? lying about doing something that is not a crime to start with? that is simply republican stupid. With Bush. Congress does not have the power granted by the Constitution to delegate its power of office to anyone. Certainly not to one of the other branches of government. Check the constitution and find where congress can simply give its power to declare war or control the military in all times other then when at war to anyone. you won't find it in there. we are supposed to have 3 totally seperate branches of our government. Legislative, executive and judicial. none of these branches are supposed to be in collusion with one of the other branches. Congress is not entitled, or allowed, to be in collusion with the executive branch, specifically the republican president now in office. So the giving of the right to wage war and to use American troops against another nation could not have been legally given away by the congress, therefore Bush does not have that right. note also in the constitution that the president is the commander in chief of the military in a declared war, not in a war he simply declared himself since he has no power to do so in the first place. Our president not committing perjury? come on. Weapons of Mass Destruction lies to congress were not lies? Iraqi connection to Moslem fundamentalists in Saudi Arabia who are supposed to have flown planes into the world trade centers were not lies to congress and the people as well as to the U.N.? Just what do you consider a lie if lying is not what is meant by that statement? Note the president has only limited power on his own. he is a representative of the people. His violation of his oath of office is more then enough to demand impeachment of him. His usurping the power of congress is also sufficent cause for him to be kicked out of the office he is not qualified to occupy. He was not elected by the people. he was put in office by the other branches of the government that are owned by the republican party, such as the Supreme Court. Why do republican sympathizers always try to put down people who are asking reasonable questions by little childish answers like are listed here in answer to this question. Look at them. So many 'he is not guilty of anything' so many "he is innocent of all wrong doing, even the not having ever bothered to honor his own oath of office on being sworn in" come off it, our president is more guilty then most of the people in our prisons ever were. and if mass murder of the civilians of a non-threatening nation are not considered war crimes then what is? If causing the deaths of so many of our own people and so many of the people of the mid-east are not a crime, then how is simply committing the non-crime of adultery a crime? republican sympathizers sure do think in a really funny manner, or is it thinking at all? Excuse war crimes but try to impeach for sex. sick people.

Ok, clinton was not impeached. He maintained office untill the end of term. The impeachment process was started, then dropped. If you remember correctly, John Kerry was a this way-that way candidate who could not keep the same story from one week to the next. Personally I wanted someone in the office who had a direction of where they were going instead of someone who didnt move because they couldnt figure out which way to go. BTW, the World Court has laws against destroying a government and leaving without leaving a working government. Last I checked, Iraq still doesnt have a working government. So for you "Get out of Iraq" types, were working on it.

It exemplifies Conservative American values: a movie can have non-stop violence; but have a little kissing action, or show an attractive woman in a bikini, and the rating goes from G to PG-13.
Unfortunately, we are victims of the Republican campaign agenda to push moderates, the bulk of the American citizenry, to the right. Until recently, the term "Liberal" was a demeaning term.
However, hope is on the way. Liberal now means thinking, and desiring change. The term Conservative now has the old definition as being stodgy, unyielding and unwilling to change.
Hopefully, people, in retrospect, will see the Republican grand illusion as it really is: a shroud on reality, in order for a certain group to be able to profit at the expense of the other groups.
Have you seen Halliburton's new digs in Dubai lately? Who says war is Hell? Not the Bush Administration.

It's only considered an "illegal war" by a certain percentage of the population. He got the authorization from Congress and though many regret the decision, it isn't officially illegal. As for Clinton, perjury is a crime and there are many people in prison for it at this very moment.
Great education system we have though. Clinton was impeached by the House but not convicted in the Senate. (2nd source)

Clinton committed a felony; Bush has committed no crime. And the notion that Bush has caused damage can be maintained only by someone who has not been paying attention. And there is nothing illegal about the war; Congress passed a resolution authorizing it.

Wow....people like you are dangerous...your 'morals' and ideas are what's running this country down the tubes. You really should be ashamed of yourself for asking such a ridiculous question. Besides, why harp on things that are already done and can't be undone? Quit griping about the past and do something about the future...although if the future is in the hands of YOUR generation, then we're all screwed.

It is not the president, it is the bureaucracy. He is merely a figurehead.
How, with all the things that has gone on, is congress still divided on issues dealing with oversight of the executive branch?
I doubt our founding fathers actually ment to have only a 2 party system. Something needs to be done to level the playing field so that more people and ideas are represented.

It had to be screwed up to even choose an idiot like Bush to represent the country. Clinton's only fault was that someone found out what other politicians keep hidden. He was forced to lie about it because Americans feel guilty about their own sex affairs and fantasies, and want to assuage their own guilt by dumping on someone else.
