Tell my parents that I was depressed and needed help.

I had planned to end my life, and vanished one day. I didn't tell anybody where I had gone, or what I was planning to do. I lived in motels for nearly a month, waiting for the day when I had enough courage to actually make it happen. Each day I'd put it off, thinking I'd just wait for tomorrow. When it actually came down to it, I just couldn't do it.

The hardest thing to do was to pick up the phone and call my parents. I didn't have anybody else in my life to call. No friends...nobody. I was embarrassed for making them worry, and ashamed of what I had been planning.
