No one can handle the problems of the 300 million people of this country. To handle some's problems is to create more for others. Basically you would have to handle the problems of the majority with minor infractions on the minority. Not as difficult as one might seem but in a two party system if you dot no lean one way you are not compromising you are flip-flopping and everyone is mad at you.
Edit* For the first time on here I think I may agree with Dead Marxist's answer to some degree.

Coming from a position in administration, I am able to tell you that it isn't easy to get 3 people together to agree on an issue.
My responsibility encompassed at least 10,000 people on a daily basis. Difficult! My job approval rating was a very good percentage. But,you are unable to appease everyone. You have to follow what you believe to be fair and right, and not let your personal feelings into any situation. Dealing with many cultures and beliefs, and religions you have to respect. Practicing ethical and legal decisions not only daily but hour to hour. Knowing how to deal with differences, and communicating respect.
I would not want the responsibility of 300 million.

Nope...but I will take the job of Commandant of the Marine Corps. 3 Marine Divisions, 3 air wings, great uniform, and best of all, doing exactly what I would love !
Not 300 million, but it's a start !
Got to agree with Dead Marxist too, he got this dead right !

Over the years I have watched many Presidents go into office for 4 to 8 years some less but in each case it amazes me how much their looks change in just a few short years.
They all looked like they aged 15 years while in office. Even old Bill with all of the fun he had in the Oval office, looked old when he got out.
No thanks I'll keep my years!

I can hardly handle some of my own problems, but then again I have things other than politics and others problems to think about all day. We'll see in a few decades.

This is a really good question and one that's been needed to be asked for a long time. It's amazing how many people think they have all the answers!

No. It's tiring. I think that is why we should just drive into Mexico and start shooting. Enough Southerner's own guns. We don't need the help of the military with this one!

No, I'm only 27 years old (which isn't much younger than Barack Obama). I would not want the responsibility. Ever.
