Surely they would do better than the recent offerings and maybe some real leadership would be displayed.
The world would probably be a saner,safer place as well

Maybe the other way around. I think Oprah's got some good business sense, but I'm not so comfortable with Dr. Phil.

Omg. Intelligence vs popularity are two different things. Oprah isn't that bad but I'd rather have an ugly person in office who can get a job done than some popular celebrity who hasn't been exactly trained or experienced in politics.

Dr Phil is a windbag who says what he is going to tell you, commercial, tells you, commercial, and then tells you what he just told you - followed by another commercial.
Oprah, I've noticed, has started interrupting her guests to get the point across that she wants to get across.
At least Oprah gets people to read.
OH and the equal air time rules would put a damper on their campaigning.

Dr Phill at al lhis speaches would be lecturing everyone and telling them 'whats right! '
and Oprah would be finding every poor family or semi poor family or anyone to give away money to.
