so i got this bunny about 2 months ago. and he came back from ohio with a few fleas. and now i'm getting flea bitten every time i go to feed my bunny or be around him. he's protected and so is my cat. but i'm not and i really want to get them out of the house. any ideas on killing fleas? we're using this stuff that's for moths and caterpillars. it's pretty potent stuff and it works surprisingly well on fleas. but it just isn't getting them all and i'm bitten everywhere.

It obviously doesn't work well on fleas if you've still got fleas! Remember for every one flea you see there are dozens more - and HUNDREDS more eggs waiting to hatch. If you were using decent treatments you wouldn't have a flea problem.

Bombs don't work anyway, you need a spray that's actually specifically for fleas, not for moths and caterpillars, which are easy to kill. Fleas are hard to kill. Go to a vets for a spray, like Indorex, Acclaim, Staykil or Skoosh - Skoosh is the newest and best.

What are you treating your cat and bunny with? Obviously it's important to use proper treatments on them, i.e stuff from the vet. The only bunny-safe stuff I know that actually works is Advantage for Rabbits - you can also ge a cat version. Frontline and Revolution are also good for cats.

Use the right stuff and you won't have this problem. Don't waste your time with stuff from stores, it doesn't work.

You need to clean the house COMPLETELY wash all the bedding in hot water and vacuum vacuum VACUUM .. a helpful tip is buying a flea collar (yes they generally dont work WELL but they do a bit) and put it in your vacuum canister (that way when you suck up eggs they should die when hatched living in with the collar)
They do sell good flea products at vet hospitals .. your spray it in the house - works like bombing but isnt bombing ...The prouduct we sell is called Siphitrol - wroks GREAT!
Good luck!

Sorry, bombing is your best bet, or you can get a spay to do your whole house, but most of the time it does not work. Those are about your options, or keep getting bit. Good luck.

Try bug bombing the whole house and then washing all the sheets and blankets and things
